Bylvay (odevixibat) is a medication used to treat pruritus associated with progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC) in children aged 6 months and above and adults. The medication works by inhibiting the ileal bile acid transporter (IBAT) and reducing the absorption of bile acids, thereby preventing the accumulation of bile acids and reducing itching associated with PFIC.
